Looking Back, Moving Forward

As we turn the page to a new year, I’m reflecting on the diverse range of projects the studio had the privilege to work on in 2024. As always, we collaborated with a wide variety of clients and tackled projects that highlighted our content-focused design expertise.

Some Highlights from 2024

Book Design: 2024 marked a resurgence of book design projects in the studio. We completed Fly Fishing Dallas, a 384-page, heavily detailed and illustrated sport-fishing book, as well as the novel The Mongol Ascension for a new publishing client, Imbrifex Books. We also created reflowable ebooks for both titles. We worked on four titles for longtime client The Quarto Group including pocket editions of Universal Principles of Color and Universal Principles of Branding.

Travel and Tourism Publication Design: For the fifth consecutive year, we designed and produced the Official Visitor Guide to Gloucester, Massachusetts for Discover Gloucester—one of our favorite annual projects. The 64-page digest-sized magazine is distributed throughout Gloucester and Cape Ann throughout the year. We are currently working on the 2025 edition.

Annual Report Design: We created both print and interactive annual reports for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the International Institute of New England, blending visual storytelling with strategic and financial insights. Currently, we’re developing this year’s report for ULI, a client we’ve collaborated with for more than 15 years.

Financial Services Marketing: We’ve always had a strong presence in the financial services and financial advice space, and while several of our longtime clients have undergone major transitions in recent years, we have been thrilled to support several of these colleagues in their new ventures. In 2023 we helped launch the Independent Vanguard Adviser (IVA) e-newsletter, built on the Ghost platform as a successor to a print newsletter that we produced for over 20 years. This year we continued to provide design and technical support and data visualization for IVA. We also provided branding and client communications design support for a new client, Montis Financial.

Website Design and Support: While 2024 saw a resurgence of print-focused projects, we also stayed busy with web design and web support projects. We launched a new website for a local landscaping company early in the year and continued to manage content and enhance the websites for many of our ongoing web clients including authors and thought leaders Jim Heid, Sarah Rose Cavanagh, and James Lang.

Welcoming New Clients & Projects

Helping organizations tell their stories through thoughtful, impactful design is our passion—whether for editorial publications, websites, or marketing and business development.

While we value our longstanding relationships with current clients, we are always seeking new partnerships. We’d also love to reconnect with past colleagues who may have moved on to new roles and always grateful for referrals.

Wishing you all a year filled with creativity, growth, and inspiration! Please get in touch, if have a project you’d like to discuss.
