Book Design
We design and produce illustrated books for publishing companies, trade organizations, and educational institutions. Our print and ebook projects cover a wide range of topics, with many focusing on urban design and sustainable development, and others covering categories such as home & garden; sports & leisure; arts & crafts; architecture; financial services; and education. We specialize in crafting visually-engaging "coffee-table" books, innovative how-to guides, and technical data-driven publications. Designing these types of large and complex books demands a sophisticated typographical approach; careful attention to page and chapter structure, pacing, and usability; and a storytelling-oriented design methodology. Each book design is unique and customized, based on our research into the subject, the market, and a client's branding and style guides.
With over 20 years experience in publication design, we are also adept at the accurate, efficient and timely management of the entire book production process, from initial design development through page layout, image processing, and final editing. We work closely with our clients’ editorial, creative and production teams to ensure that our process best aligns with their internal systems, and that the book is produced and optimized for efficient printing, and/or ebook conversion.
